Undertake Certificate of HE in Social Care Practice with the Open University

• Are you employed by Ceredigion Council?
• Do you work in a Social Care Team/Setting? (paid or voluntary)
• Are you interested in a future career in social work?

If you answered yes to all of the above then you might be interested in applying for sponsorship to undertake the Certificate of Higher Education in Social Care Practice with the Open University. The Certificate consists of the following two modules:

• KZW 101 – An Introduction to Health & Social Care
• KZW 113 – Foundations for Social Work practice

These two modules provide a good foundation upon which to progress into a career in Social Work and are the first two modules contained in the Degree in Social Work.

In order to undertake these modules you will be required to:

• Attend three compulsory face to face day-schools on a Saturday
• Undertake five online tutorials of 2 hours which are usually in the evening or at weekends
• Undertake seven optional 2 hour on line tutorials to assist with assignment preparation

Ceredigion County Council are committed to funding your  academic fees for these modules (£2600) but you will need to be prepared to study in your own time and to commence the course in October 2019.
