Pension Wise Guidance available in Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire

New pension rules came into effect on 6 April 2015.
There is now more freedom over how to access your pension pot. These changes affect you if:
• you’re aged 55 or over, and
• you have a pension based on how much has been paid into your pot (a Defined Contribution pension, also called a ‘money purchase scheme’).
A free and impartial government service is available to advise you on defined contribution pension options. Pension Wise won’t recommend any products or tell you what to do with your money. Although the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is not covered by the new service some staff members may be contributing to pension products that are eligible under the new advice service.
