Current Arrangement
A recent analysis indicates that a number of telephone rental fee payments are made to staff that undertake standby and/or call out duties.
Proposed Arrangement
Advances in technology and the issuing of Council mobile phones to staff has diminished the need to continue with these payments. The proposal is therefore to cease all of these payments.
Implementation
It is proposed that these payments will cease with effect from 1 February 2021.
