About SCWWDP

The Social Care Wales Workforce Development Programme (SCWWDP) is funded by the Welsh Government and managed by Social Care Wales. Ceredigion Council works in partnership with Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire Councils to manage and deliver SCWWDP locally and regionally. We work in collaboration to provide learning and development opportunities for the social care workforce, commissioned services and independent/voluntary sector. We also work with a range of partners including Health and the Police to ensure regulatory requirements are met for example, the Qualification Framework and National Minimum Standards.

Who is SCWWDP training for?

SCWWDP provides training and development opportunities for people employed in social care. You must be a paid care worker or work for a voluntary organisation caring for people in Ceredigion to be eligible for our training.
