Using Ceri Self-Service on an iPad or other tablet device

This article provides guidance and best practice advice on using Ceri Self-Service on an iPad or other tablet device.

Overview

Ceri Self-Service is a fully responsive website and is available on a wide range of browsers on all tablet and mobile devices. Following our users’ experience of using the system we have developed a number of best practice guidelines to ensure that you experience the full functionality of the system as it is intended.

Internet Connection

Ceri Self-Service will work over WiFi or mobile reception, however we have found that switching between the two types of connection during a single session on self-service can cause issues.

Chrome Browser

We recommend using the Google Chrome browser where possible as opposed to any device specific browsers such as Apple’s Safari.

To download Google Chrome go to your App Store on your device and search for ‘Google Chrome’. The app is free of charge however you will need your device login details in order to download. For Ceredigion County Council issued devices (iPads) please contact the ICT Support Desk on extension 3205 or servicedesk@ceredigion.gov.uk if you have any issues.

Device Orientation

We recommend using Ceri Self-Service in landscape mode at all times, especially with any claim or timesheet forms.

Remembering Username and Password

Some devices/browsers will ask if you wish to remember your username and password for the next time you visit the site. We would always recommend that you choose ‘No’ or ‘Never for this site’ when given this option to avoid any login issues.
