Managing Employee Performance

Disciplinary action may be occasioned as a result of an individual employee’s lack of ability to undertake his/her duties – be it for misconduct or inadequate standards. It is therefore important that employees know what standards of performance are expected of them by their employer. This procedure applies to all employees (apart from those employed by Governing Bodies of schools) who are employed by Ceredigion County Council.

The procedure is designed to:

  • help and encourage all employees to achieve and maintain satisfactory standards of job performance;
  • ensure that all employees are treated fairly and consistently and without discrimination.
