Compassionate Leave

The Council recognises that there are occasions/times when a short period of time off is necessary outside of leave entitlement and will endeavour to support staff in balancing their work and personal circumstances.

Reasons for leave recognised by the Council include:

• Compassionate Leave due to death or serious illness of a close relative
• To attend a funeral
