This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Ceredigion to undertake key operational and strategic responsibilities in our care and support specialist services as Corporate Manager Planned Care Children and Adults.
Ceredigion County Council is transforming the way individuals and families will receive early help, targeted support and longer term care and support when they need it. We are developing high quality through age and well-being services, new ways of working and a range of exciting initiatives in co-operation with partner agencies that will help develop individual and community resilience and improve safety and independence. This also means that we want to build a flexible and skilled workforce that can make a positive difference to people’s lives.
The main duties of this post will include the provision of professional staff supervision and support along with management oversight and social work decision making in relation to the Planned Care Children and Adult Team Managers’ areas of work and their teams. You will have budgetary and human resources responsibilities and you will be expected to provide strategic direction across the continuum of need in relation to the development of effective services for vulnerable children and adults.
Successful applicants will have relevant managerial experience with an in depth understanding of the Social Services and Well-Being (Wales) Act 2014 and other relevant legislation and regulations along with experience of working with and managing services and case work for either/both children and adults who have eligible care and support needs.
