As part of the Corporate Service Support (CSS) function, an opportunity has arisen for us to appoint a Service Support Administrator/Receptionist role within our structure. Corporate Service Support provides administration services for all areas of the Council, but this role will be providing support primarily to the Hyfforddiant Ceredigion Training (HCT) and Dysgu Bro Ceredigion teams.
HCT and Dysgu Bro form part of Lifelong Learning and Skills service in the Council. HCT provides vocational training for young people up to the age of 19 in vocational subjects through the Jobs Growth Wales+ programme and apprenticeships, as well as offering vocational training to school children via the Alternative Curriculum and mainstream subjects. Dysgu Bro Ceredigion provides training and courses for adults across Ceredigion in their communities to learn new skills, gain qualifications or to develop new interests.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide reception cover at HCT in Llanbadarn Fawr which will include greeting and supporting members of the public and learners. You will undertake various administration duties, including dealing with telephone calls, inputting and extracting information from IT systems, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, as well as many other activities associated to a busy office environment.
The candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable as there will be the requirement for the post holder to move between teams dependent on service needs and to manage increased workloads and provide cover for other team members.
The opportunity would suite someone with a methodical approach to work, with attention to detail, be a Welsh language speaker and they must have excellent IT skills.
