This position qualifies for a market supplement payment of £200 per month. Please note this additional payment will be reviewed on 31 March 2025.

In this post, you will help lead and manage a team of social workers, social work assistants and support workers who will work closely with partner agencies to help support families to safely care for their children whenever possible.
You will focus on a small caseload of more complex cases and supervise and support staff to ensure good outcomes for children and young people who require safeguarding plans, care and support and care planning. You will be able to develop specialisms in court proceedings, risk management, direct work, support for care leavers and other aspects of statutory duties.

Whenever possible, we are seeking individuals with a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. However, a successful applicant without the required Welsh language skills will be fully supported to reach the desired standard within two years of appointment.
