In this post, you will be part of a dynamic team of experienced practitioners in order to carry out safeguarding duties under the Wales Safeguarding Procedures. You will work closely with partner agencies to investigate allegations of abuse and neglect and will practice in a manner that is effective in identifying and managing to children and adults who are vulnerable to harm.
You will conduct strategy discussions and chair strategy meetings, participate in conferences, undertake professional concerns enquires and make decisions necessary to ensuring safety. You will be able to develop specialisms in various aspects of safeguarding such as domestic abuse, exploitation and self-neglect.

As part of your role, you may be involved in some developmental work in relation to safeguarding practice, e.g. awareness raising session with community, client and staff groups and you may also be involved in some of the work of the Mid and West Wales Regional Safeguarding Board.
Whenever possible, we are seeking individuals with a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. However, a successful applicant without the required Welsh language skills will be fully supported to reach the desired standard within two years of appointment.
