This position qualifies for a market supplement payment of £4,000 per year. Please note this additional payment will be reviewed in July 2024.
We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic lead software engineer to join our team with experience of supervising a team of software developers. In this role you will work with us to build interesting and creative software solutions for Ceredigion County Council. It is our vision to support the creation of healthier, safer, more resilient communities; help protect and improve the environment; and promote social innovation.
As an experienced lead engineer of the team, you will provide planning and guidance to bring projects to life and see them through to completion. You will lead, supervise, guide and mentor the project team of software developers to ensure the projects excel. We are looking for someone that can run a project and be a senior engineer.
You will inspire to set out good working practices for the team and introduce new ways of working. You will be given the opportunity to solve problems, learn and innovate in different areas, including UX, mobile, scaling out modular services, databases, big data, design practices and patterns.
