This position qualifies for a market supplement payment of £200 per month. Please note this additional payment will be reviewed on 31 March 2024.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic Senior Social Work Practitioner, that holds the qualification of Approved Mental Health Practitioner, under the Mental Health Act 1983, for Ceredigion Emergency Duty team. Ceredigion’s Emergency Duty Team currently responds to all emergencies that arise outside normal working hours, that require actions that cannot wait until the next working day. The role is one of through age, where by a response is provided for all social work/social care and housing emergencies, that the local authority has arising out of hours, involving children and their families, vulnerable adults and people with mental health needs.
Ceredigion Emergency Duty Team aims to provide a service that is:
The post is one of shift work, across seven days a week
Weekend/Bank Holiday day cover (09.00 – 17.00).
There is an expectation that the worker will work 37 hours per week.
The ability to travel throughout the county is essential.
A bilingual policy is in operation and candidates who do not have the linguistic ability in Welsh will be supported and encouraged to achieve the ALTE standard within 2 years.

The successful candidate may be eligible to up to a maximum of £8,000 (including VAT) towards the cost of expenses incurred as a result of relocating to the county of Ceredigion.
