Newly Qualified Social Workers will commence on Grade 9 pay and job description before progressing to grade 10 after 2 years in post. Experienced social workers will commence at Grade 10 pay and job description. Both job descriptions can be viewed below.
This position qualifies for a market supplement payment of £200 per month. Please note this additional payment will be reviewed on 31 March 2025.
The successful candidate may be eligible to up to a maximum of £8,000 (including VAT) towards the cost of expenses incurred due of relocating to Ceredigion.

We are looking to recruit a children’s Social Worker to join the Through Age Team on a full-time basis. The team is an integrated decision-making hub which aims to support families with information and advice or intervention. This is an exciting role within the service providing the opportunity to undertake, assessments and implement packages of care to support our organization’s aim to enable, children/ family resilience more appropriate services following Child and Family Assessment.
About the role:
The role is one of constructing and implementing Care and Support Plans under Part 4 and 6 of the SSWBA 2014 and other key social care legislations in assessing, supporting, and safeguarding children and adults who need care and support or who are at risk of harm by assisting individuals and their families or networks to resolve major difficulties, enhancing their coping skills & establishing their independence and resilience. Porth Gofal Team is the heart of service provision that focuses on ensuring that Families receive the intervention that is best placed to meet their needs or where else to guide them to early help or specialist services.
