Are you a Qualified Social Worker looking for the opportunity to work as a Manager in the beautiful, peaceful countryside of West Wales? We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Team Manager to manage the Through Age Integrated Assessment Team.
This post is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and committed and experienced individual to undertake and develop management and leadership skills in a supportive environment. You will have a thorough understanding of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and relevant Regulations and Guidance, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team and take decisions in relation to social care triage and assessments.
The Authority is committed to Signs of Safety approach and is in the process of transformation to a through-age and whole family model which offers greater flexibility to develop plans and services to meet needs and has resulted in some exciting opportunities for collaborative working between departments within the authority as well as with our partner agencies.
On a day to day basis you will provide expert support and advice to the Through Age Integrated Triage and Assessment service for all professionals who are based within the service. There is a particular emphasis around expertise and knowledgebase of Children’s legislation with a focus on early intervention, prevention and escalation of Safeguarding concerns. You will be expected, when required, to support with the Triage decision making and to manage the quality assurance of the triage and assessment process, ensuring that the right support is given at the right time by the right professional.
We require an individual with a degree of fluency in the Welsh language. A bilingual policy is in operation and candidates who do not have the linguistic ability in Welsh will be supported and encouraged to achieve the ALTE standard within 2 years.
