Please note the salary advertised above is based on a full-time equivalent and includes a market supplement payment of £5,500 per annum. This supplement has been agreed for the academic year 2025/26 and will be reviewed annually. If the market supplement payment is withdrawn, the salary will revert to Grade 8, which is currently £30,559 - £32,624 full-time equivalent.
As the position requires working 41 weeks per year, with a weekly schedule of 32.5 hours from 7.30am to 2.30pm, the actual gross salary for this role is £29,877.58 (£24,377.58 + £5,500 market premium).
Additionally, the salary is subject to a pending pay award, and the final amount will be adjusted in line with the nationally agreed pay award.
We seek to appoint an innovative Catering Services Manager to lead a busy kitchen in preparing and providing healthy, nutritious and appetizing food for our staff and students whilst maintaining health and safety standards at all times.
The right candidate will have the skills to lead staff in a busy kitchen environment, ensuring that the canteen is a busy, happy and productive place to work in. The main qualities required to succeed in the role are being able to plan strategically to deliver an efficient catering service within the available finances; to lead and manage staff effectively; being able to relate well to students and a commitment to positive healthy outcomes for young people, in line with Welsh Government policies and the school’s curriculum for Wales; and an enthusiasm and determination to provide a quality provision in the canteen. You will also have excellent attendance and punctuality.
