As part of the ongoing development of our Corporate Service Support function an opportunity has arisen for a Service Support Officer to be recruited into the structure.
The role will provide an agile administrative support function to a number of teams across the council’s Through Age and Wellbeing service.
The Service Support Officer will be a part of the Integrated Community Equipment Stores team which arranges the delivery and installation of specialist health equipment and supports those most in need of care and assistance. You will be expected to undertake various administration duties, including dealing with telephone calls, inputting and extracting information from IT systems, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, minute taking, as well as many other activities associated to a busy office environment.
On a typical working day, you could expect to be handling calls and emails from service-users or staff from the health and social care sector, providing advice and information over the phone, using our dedicated software to process orders and manage delivery schedules, and liaising with technicians who deliver and install the equipment. There will be numerous other duties which will form part of the wider role, such as arranging servicing schedules, contacting suppliers to order replacement stock and much more.
The ideal candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable as there will be the requirement for the post holder to move between teams dependent on service needs and to manage increased workloads and provide cover for other team members.
The opportunity would suite some with a methodical approach to work, with attention to detail, and they must have excellent IT skills.
It should be noted that the responsibilities of the post holder requires the successful candidate to be based at CILC Felinfach for the majority of the working week.
We believe work-life balance is very important. To support you in achieving this, you will have access to the following discretionary benefits:
