DBS Renewals

It is the Council’s policy that the Disclosure and Barring Service certificates of employees that are required to hold them, by virtue of their job roles, are renewed every three years.

The DBS renewal process is as follows:

Step 1

You will receive a DBS renewal email request which in most circumstances will provide you will a link to our online DBS system in order that you can complete an online application form.  In some circumstances you  may be asked to collect a paper DBS application form from Human Resources, Canolfan Rheidol.

Step 2

Complete and submit online application.  Present proof of ID to Aberaeron, Lampeter, Cardigan or Aberystwyth Cash Offices.  This must be done face to face.  For guidance on the ID verification process and acceptable ID documents please click here.

Step 3

Once your DBS application form has been processed by the Disclosure Barring Service your Ceri record will be updated accordingly and the renewal process will be complete. You will receive a new certificate accordingly.  This should be kept safely by yourself.
