Training and Development Policy

The Training and Development Strategy aims to promote the supporting aim of the Council by providing high quality services to the Public through well-trained, managed and motivated staff and through third parties, where the County Council acts as an enabler. The Training and Development Strategy is designed to:

  • Provide an analysis of individual training needs in line with the needs of the Council as identified within the Corporate Plan
  • Deliver an effective training programme which targets resources at priority areas
  • Outline entitlement to study and exam leave and conditions for financial assistance
