AIDS
Ceredigion County Council, so far as is reasonably practicable, is committed to protecting and promoting the health, safety and welfare of its employees and has therefore issued a corporate policy in connection with the syndrome known as Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) which is caused by Human Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV). The policy states that the Council will:
- prevent as far as is practicable, the spread of HIV Infection or AIDS by the provision of information and the promotion of good working practices;
- ensure that people with AIDS or HIV do no experience prejudice or unfair discrimination in employment or as a receiver of Council services.
- The Council is fully committed to equality of opportunity in employment.
