Should you ever have problems or concerns with your work, working conditions or relationships with colleagues you may wish to raise these with management through the Council’s Grievance Policy.

Issues that may cause grievances include:

  • terms and conditions of employment
  • health and safety
  • work relations
  • bullying and harassment
  • new working practices/organisational changes
  • discrimination.


We encourage open communication between you and your manager to ensure any issues are resolved quickly and to the satisfaction of all concerned. In this way, your line manager will support you through informal discussions to resolve any problem. If the problem persists you should refer to the Grievance Policy.
